My story with green

初二(17)班 刘宇航

When I was five, the small forest near my grandma’s house was my secret wonderland. My friends and I loved playing there We touched soft grass, watched butterflies, and picked dandelions. The smell of soil made me happy. We listened to the frogs singing the song of the rain in the crew.

But four years ago, some workers arrived .Trees fell like broken green umbrellas, replaced by a concrete parking lot.Rain collects in the cracks, reflecting the grey sky of the back factory. My favorite frog pond has become a stinking ditch full of plostic bottles .

Last summer, some farmer uncles adopted the injured land.I also helped them clean up the rubbish. Then we planted 48 saplings. My hands blistered from digging, but I was still very happy and smiled happily.

Now butterflies have resumed!A hidden frog croaks near the pond, where dragonflies skim the water like living jewels.Colorful flowers smile at butterflies, while birds sing hidden songs in the branches.A small stream whispers through the grass so clear that I can see tiny fish dancing.

This magical transformation taught me:Green isn’t just nature’s gift——it’s a promise we keep through sweat and care.Every planted seed is a love letter to tomorrow.Let’s write more green stories together!

My Special Tree-Planting Experience

初二(31)班 殷呈欣汝

Several years ago, I experienced the most meaningful tree-planting activity with my mom, who teaches senior 3 students. During the school's "100-Day Oath Ceremony" for graduating students, all students and teachers planted osmanthus trees in the campus yard. Its golden flowers symbolize success in entrance exams, just like the Chinese saying "plucking laurels from the Moon Palace."

Under the spring sunshine, I watched mom's students dig holes with shiny shovels. Though my hands were too small to hold the adult-sized tools, I still tried. My shoes got muddy and sweat dripped into the soil like tiny pearls, but I kept planting my young trees carefully. Soon, forty osmanthus saplings stood straight like green soldiers guarding everyone’s future dreams.
This tradition connects me to millions of Chinese people planting trees every March 12th. The principal explained that each shovel of earth carries hopes, just like students’ efforts will grow into achievements. When autumn comes, the sweet fragrance from trees will cheer those studying for college entrance exams.
Suddenly, I realized that I did not just plant a tree—I buried a seed of hope. Like the osmanthus needs time to blossom, environmental protection requires patience and care, and our country’s development demands persistence and creativity. These diligent brothers and sisters will become top talents to protect our environment, develop our economy and strengthen our country. I believe every small green effort today will bear sweet fruits tomorrow. Green isn’t just a color—it’s a promise to our life. Close my eyes and I imagine these trees becoming part of China's green map in the future.

Guarding the Green

初三(20)班 郝新哲

“Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets.”
There’s no denying that our rapid development is impressive, but who cares about the environment, which provides us with essential resources?
In the past few years, the river near my home became notorious for its foul smell—a problem that had persisted for years. Dead fish and all kinds of rubbish floated on the water’s surface. Even worse, some irresponsible factories dumped polluted water into it. However, according to my grandpa’s memories, during his childhood, the river was so clear that people could bathe and play in it during the summer. White clouds, flying birds, and the azure blue sky reflected in the water. Both of us felt a deep sense of loss at that moment. What could we do? I fell silent when I saw the dead trees and barren grass. Where had all the green gone?
Time flies! When I returned the following summer, I was amazed to see that the once-dirty river had transformed into a clear mirror. I spoke with my grandpa and learned that the government had called on everyone to protect the environment. Walking along the road with him, I noticed that green trees had sprung up again, seemingly smiling at me, while the grass grew lush and vibrant, as if thanking everyone for their efforts. Green was everywhere around me.
Yes, green is hope, green is life, and green is the color that comes first. In recent years, the Chinese government, along with its people, has made significant efforts to improve environmental quality. This visionary approach has led to a greener and more sustainable country. We all share the belief that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets.
Looking back at history, there’s no doubt that the industrial revolution brought significant advancements to society and improved living conditions. However, people often neglected the environment, leading to slower progress in many European countries over time. This serves as a meaningful lesson for us. Let’s spend green, love green, and go green. Only then can we live a green life, build a green country, and achieve sustainable development for our nation.

My Journey with Green

初三(26)班 杨子祺

In the heart of spring, when the world awakens from its winter slumber, I found myself standing by a sea of green. It was during a school trip to the local botanical gardens that I truly connected with nature. The vibrant hues of the leaves, the delicate fragrance of blooming flowers, and the harmonious symphony of birdsong created a tapestry of life that was both humbling and inspiring.
This experience was not just a visual feast but a profound lesson in the importance of environmental conservation. It made me realize that every leaf, every drop of water, and every breath of air is a precious gift that we must cherish and protect. The delicate balance of ecosystems, the intricate web of life, and the interdependence of all living beings became clear to me.
Inspired by this revelation, I decided to take action. I joined the school's environmental club, where we organized tree-planting drives, conducted workshops on recycling, and spread awareness about the importance of biodiversity. Each activity was a step towards making a difference, no matter how small.
One of the most memorable projects was our initiative to create a community garden. We transformed a barren patch of land into a thriving green space, filled with vegetables, herbs, and flowers. This garden not only provided fresh produce but also became a sanctuary for local wildlife. It was a testament to what collective effort and dedication could achieve.
As I reflect on my journey with green, I am filled with hope and determination. The challenges of climate change, pollution, and habitat destruction are daunting, but they are not insurmountable. Through innovation, education, and collaboration, we can pave the way for a sustainable future.
In conclusion, my story with green is one of discovery, action, and hope. It is a reminder that each of us has the power to make a positive impact on the environment. Let us all strive to be stewards of the Earth, nurturing and protecting the green that sustains us all.

Green environment makes prefect life

初三(28)班 陈鹏宇

Green life is both a responsibility and an attitude. As a junior high school student, I deeply appreciate the importance of a green environment. When each of us actively practices a green lifestyle, what we protect is not only our home, but also the future of us and our future generations.
I am surprised by the news that nearly 50 billion tons of various types of waste are generated annually, and it is unbelievable that the total distance of the waste could circle our Earth 25 times. President Xi says that the green mountains and clear water are equal to mountains of gold and silver. So now I am convinced that we should practice green life and light up the hope of the future instantly.
As a student, one simple way for us to go green is go to school on foot or by bike instead of taking a car. Besides,we are supposed to use things that can be recycled. For example, when we shopping, we had better use cloth bags instead of plastic ones. At the same time, we can plant more trees and flowers around us, I really enjoy spending time in parks and other natural spaces where I can breathe more easily and relax more. In a word, we should keep “Reverence for nature ,reverence for life” in mind.
Don’t let our tears become the last drop of the water on the earth. Let us work together to create a more sustainable and green world. I am sure the world will be more and more beautiful as long as we all pull together.

My Green Story

初一(5)班 程梓恒

When I close my eyes, I remember my small garden. After rain, the soil smelled like tea. Grasshoppers hid in the green grass. Green was my quiet friend.
Two years ago, Grandma gave me a little tree." It's a cherry tree," she said. I planted it near my window. Every day after school, I gave it water. One day, a big wind broke its branch. I tied it with a red ribbon. In spring, white flowers came! They looked like tiny stars. I put one flower in my diary. Now I know: waiting can make good things come.
Last summer, I went to a park with my class. I found an old tree with thick roots. Its bark felt like dinosaur skin! I sat under it and ate my sandwich. Sunlight danced through the leaves. A ladybug climbed on my shoe. For a minute, I forgot about homework.
Mom bought me a small plant for my desk. Its leaves look like hearts. When I touch them, they feel cool. Yesterday, a new leaf unrolled like a shy baby. I smiled—it's growing, just like me!
Some people say plants are quiet. But when I see green leaves waving, I think they're saying "hello."

My Story with Green

初一(29)班 吴婧含

Green represents life, hope, and my childhood memories. My green story started in a small park near my home, where I played among tall trees, listening to the rustling leaves and breathing fresh air. My friends and I spent hours exploring, collecting leaves, and observing insects. I believed this green paradise would always be there, but one day, I returned home and found half of the trees had been cut down for road construction. The land was bare, and the remaining roots seemed to cry out silently. I felt deep sadness and realized that protecting nature was our responsibility.
At school, I joined the environmental club. We organized a "Books for Green" activity, recycling old books to buy plants for students. We promoted waste sorting awareness and encouraged classmates to reduce plastic use. On Arbor Day, we planted trees on campus, hoping to restore greenery. These tiny saplings will grow into beautiful trees someday, making our school greener and cleaner.
In my daily life, I practice eco-friendly habits. I turn off unused lights, carry a reusable water bottle, and pick up litter whenever possible. Though small, these actions can create a huge impact when done by many.
Green is not just a color, but a responsibility. As a "Lei Feng Youth," I want to continue his spirit by protecting nature. Let’s act together, keeping our world green and beautiful!

Make the skies over the eastern coastal areas even bluer

初一(33)班 侯孟辰

Our Earth is like a tiny boat in the vast universe, carrying all living things. But now, this blue "home" faces big environmental challenges. Polluted rivers, disappearing forests, and dirty air are all connected to our daily lives.
One cloudy afternoon in June 2024, I joined volunteers in Dafeng District for a beach cleanup. Though I’d prepared myself, the sight still shocked me. The golden sunlight sparkled on the ocean, but the beach was covered with trash—plastic bottles, foam lunch boxes, broken fishing nets… It felt like the Earth was crying.
As we picked up garbage, someone suddenly shouted, “Look!” Under a pile of trash, clusters of saltwort grew bravely, their green leaves dancing in the wind. They taught me that life never gives up, even in tough conditions.
Since then, our team organizes eco-activities every month: cleaning school grounds, teaching neighbors about recycling, or planting trees. Our group grew from 10 people to over 100!
News said 4,300 volunteers cleaned ocean trash in Dafeng this year. The cleaned-up coast now looks brighter. I also plant trees with my family. Once, we worked all day on a bare field. Our clothes got sweaty, and our hands got blisters, but seeing rows of young trees made us smile. Now, those saplings are taller than me! Birds build nests there, and butterflies fly around—it’s a mini paradise!
Protecting nature isn’t a faraway dream. Small acts matter—like picking up litter or planting one tree. Alone, we’re tiny, but together, we can create forests. My camera now captures volunteers picking trash, kids learning about nature, and growing trees… These photos give me hope.
This is my green story—about waking up, taking action, and believing. I’m not just a watcher; I’m a doer. Someday, green will cover our land again, making Earth shine forever.

A Green Weekend: Tree - Planting in the Neighborhood with My Parents

初一(18)班 葛书辰

This weekend, accompanied by my parents, I participated in a tree - planting activity in our community. It was not only a fulfilling family activity but also a meaningful step towards understanding environmental protection.
Early on Sunday morning, we gathered in the open space of our neighborhood with shovels, buckets, and saplings. We chose to plant an apricot tree. Apricot trees symbolize hope and new beginnings, as they bring beautiful blossoms in spring and delicious fruits later. Under the warm sun, we started working together. My father dug a deep hole, my mother carefully placed the sapling inside, and I covered its roots with soil, patting it down gently. Then, I fetched water from a nearby tap and poured it slowly around the tree, imagining it growing strong and tall.
This tree - planting experience is closely related to ecological civilization construction. Our small act in the community can have a big impact. The apricot tree will contribute to improving air quality in our neighborhood by absorbing pollutants and releasing oxygen. As it grows, it will also provide shade for residents during hot summer days and become a home for small birds, enhancing the biodiversity of our community.
In terms of green development, every tree planted is a step towards a sustainable future. Through this activity with my parents, I realized that green development doesn't only rely on large - scale projects but also on small, everyday actions like ours. It has inspired me to be more environmentally conscious in my daily life, such as reducing waste and conserving energy. I hope more families in our community will join in such activities, making our neighborhood greener and more beautiful.

My Journey with Green

初一(10)班 陈禹豪

When I was a little kid, green was just a color to me. But everything changed two years ago when my school started a "Green Guardians" project. That’s when I began my own story with green.
One spring, our teacher gave each student a tiny sapling to plant at home. I named mine "Lucky" and promised to take care of it. Every morning, I watered it with a small can and watched its leaves stretch toward the sunlight. Slowly, Lucky grew taller, and so did my love for nature. I started noticing more greens around me—the grass in the park, the vegetables in our garden, even the moss on old walls. They weren’t just "background" anymore; they felt like friends.
Last year, I joined a beach cleanup with my classmates. We picked up plastic bottles, bags, and even broken toys. My hands turned dirty, but my heart felt light. I realized that small actions, like planting Lucky or picking up trash, could make a real difference. Now, I always carry a reusable water bottle and turn off lights when leaving a room. My family even started composting kitchen scraps!
Green isn’t just a color now. It’s a friend, a responsibility, and a hope. I believe that if everyone does a little, our Earth can stay green forever. Let’s write our own green stories together!

My Story with Green

初一(36)班 唐鸣灿

My memory of green began with the fields in my hometown. When I was a child, due to my parents' busy work, I was sent to my grandmother's house in the countryside. The yard of my grandmother's house was not large, but it was surrounded by an extensive expanse of fields. There were different shades of green in the fields throughout the four seasons of the year.
In spring, when the first wisp of spring breeze swept by, the fields began to awaken. Tender green wheat seedlings emerged from the soil, timidly looking around at the world. I couldn't wait to rush into this green ocean and run and play among the wheat seedlings. The wheat seedlings gently brushed against my calves, making them itchy, as if they were greeting me affectionately. My grandmother would remind me to be careful, but I couldn't listen. My eyes were full of this vibrant green. It was a gift of life from nature, and every leaf contained infinite hope.
In summer, the green in the fields became even more intense. The corn seedlings grew vigorously under the nourishment of sunlight and rain. Their broad leaves were like green flags fluttering in the wind. My friends and I would play hide - and - seek among the corn fields. Hiding behind the corn leaves, our bodies were scratched with red marks by the leaves, but we didn't care at all. Occasionally, we could find small insects hiding behind the leaves. We would carefully catch them, observe them, and then release them, experiencing the wonder of these tiny lives in the green world. At that time, this green field was our paradise, carrying our endless joy and innocence.
In autumn, the green gradually turned golden, but the grass by the fields was still full of vitality. I would follow my grandmother to cut grass by the fields, preparing food for the little rabbits at home. Squatting beside the grass, I touched the soft grass leaves with my fingers and felt the tenacity of green life. Each bunch of green grass carried a faint fragrance, which was the smell of nature. I would have a competition with my grandmother to see who could cut faster and more, and our laughter echoed over the fields.
As I grew older, I left my grandmother's house and came to the city. In the city, there are tall buildings and busy traffic, and green has become rare and precious. But my love for green has never diminished. I began to plant some green plants on my balcony, including several pots of Epipremnum aureum, succulents, and a small pot of mint. Every day after school, I would water and fertilize them, watching them grow little by little. These green plants added a touch of brightness to my life and helped me find a moment of tranquility in my busy schoolwork.
I remember once, the school organized a tree - planting activity. I didn't hesitate to sign up and planted saplings on the hillside outside the city with my classmates. The sun was shining brightly that day. We dug holes, planted trees, and watered them, doing each step carefully. Looking at the saplings we planted taking root on the hillside, I seemed to see them growing vigorously in the future, adding a new touch of green to this land. At that moment, I realized that green is not just a color, but also a responsibility and obligation.
My story with green, from the fields to the city, from childhood to adolescence, has witnessed my growth and carried my deep love for nature. In the days to come, I hope to continue to be accompanied by green, and let this color of life always shine in my life.

Act Now , Save Tomorrow

初二(5)班 姜宇航

After reading an article about environmental diversity,I felt a sense of crisis that I had never felt before.Every day,75 species become extinct around the world,a rate that is 100 to 1000 times the average rate of Earths evolution. As we all know, the more species there are,the more stable the food chain is.The earth is in a vicious circle. What caused this tragedy to happen?
First, the water source is polluted.Water is indispensable to the survival of living things. However, some conscienceless factories discharge pollutants into the water.People can turn sewage into drinking water through high technology, but animals can’t.This has led to the destruction of vegetation. The number of animals has naturally decreased.Second, the number of places for animals to live is also gradually decreasing.Whether it is a factory or an apartment or an office building,it needs to occupy space. The more places people occupy, the less space animals have.It has led to inbreeding among animals. The survival rate of young animals is declining. This is the main reason.Third, people may hunt animals even if it’s a protected animal. In response to this situation, the state has enacted relevant laws.
If we don’t take action,we will be the ones hurt in the end. But,what can we do?
I suggest that all people have responsibility to protect the earth because it’s our common home.We can use fewer disposable products, because they’re mostly made of plastic.Plastic may not degrade in soil for hundreds of years.Scientists are now inventing a biodegradable plastic. It can alleviate the situation. Also,we should plant more trees. They can conserve water and soil.In fact, the ecosystem has a certain ability of self-regulation.But once we destroy the ecological balance,it will cause irreparable harm.So we should take action right away.
Act now is Saving tomorrow.

My Journey with the Green World

初二(6)班 王若涵

This spring, I participated in a tree-planting activity organized by our school, an experience that deepened my bond with nature. As we dug holes, planted saplings, and watered them under the warm sunlight, I realized how small actions could contribute to a greener planet. The sight of those young trees standing tall against the wind filled me with hope—they were not just plants but symbols of our commitment to environmental protection.
This activity sparked my reflection on broader environmental issues. I began noticing plastic waste littering parks and rivers, which motivated me to join a local cleanup campaign. Additionally, I started practicing waste sorting at home and encouraged my family to reduce energy consumption. These efforts taught me that environmental protection is not a distant concept but a daily responsibility shared by everyone.
Looking ahead, I envision a world where technology and policy amplify green initiatives. But it starts with us—students planting trees, communities reducing waste, and everyone embracing sustainability. The belief that individual efforts, no matter how small, can collectively shape a better future. By planting trees , we honor nature and humanity alike. As spring awakens the earth, let us awaken our sense of duty to the planet and to one another.

Grassland Tour

初二(13)班 曹梓越

Three years ago, I had a trip to a grassland, which has deeply impressed me till now.
I got there on a sunny morning with my parents. Some slight wind stroked our faces, bringing a soft coolness. Around our car, there was grass everywhere and each one was about half a metre high. I walked on the narrow road among the grass, smelling the faint scent of the plants, which made me immersed in the beauty of nature. After that, I also saw some cows and sheep walking and eating grass. All these took on a harmonious picture.
However, these years, the environment became worse and worse due to the humans' action that did harm to the ecosystem. Some people started to realize that we couldn't continue doing so any more , or there would not be such a beautiful grassland in the future. As a result, I have taken part in many activities to help with protecting the environment, such as planting trees, cleaning the road and so on.Not only did I want to keep that grassland in mind, but I also wanted to keep it in reality. With everyone's effort,I did believe that there would be a better earth in the future, so that we could relish a healthier life and also a more beautiful nature.

Green March

初二(13)班 李瑞祎

March is green and full of hope. Spring returns and everything comes back to life.when Lei Feng Month coincides with Arbor Day, the whole world is filled with vitality and hope. In this beautiful season, l plant a magnolia and expect it to grow vigorously and bring green shade and vitality. I feel calm and relaxed inside.
Arbor Day is not only for greening the environment, but also has a deeper meaning. Planting trees can purify the air, beautify the environment, and reduce noise. Each tree releases enough oxygen to meet the daily breathing needs of 5 adults. The tree roots are deeply rooted in the soil. which can prevent soil erosion and the erosior of rainwater and sand.
What we "plant" through tree-planting is the spirit. In March, the name of Lei Feng is closely associated with this activity. Uncle Lei Feng taught us that we should help each other. His spirit of being ready to help others and making selfless contributions has inspired and motivated generations of Chinese people.
We are not just planting trees, but also inheriting and carrying forward the spirit of Lei Feng. In this hopeful March, let's take action together and plant a tree of hope for our home!

My story with green

初二(30)班 沈芯妍

When I volunteered at a community tree-planting event last spring, I realized green was more than a color—it symbolized life’s resilience. Under the guidance of the community workers, my friends and I planted more than 20 saplings on the wasteland.
At home, green habits became second nature. My family switched to energy-saving bulbs. Now I have a green corner of my house where l use plastic bottles as flower POTS and grow spices like mint and basil. l picked a rosemary plant from there, and now Mom is cooking with it! The window sills of the house become mini jungles, attracting butterflies and bees.
During the Spring Festival, I convinced my family to use reusable cloth bags instead of plastic ones for shopping. Grandma smiled and said, "My little tree-planter is teaching us old folks new tricks!" We also began composting kitchen scraps to feed our garden.
Through green, I've learned that environmental protection isn't about grand gestures, but daily acts of love. Like the rings inside trees, these green habits grow quietly within me, shaping how I see the world. When I bike past blooming gardens or hear birdsong in clean air, I feel connected to something eternal - the enduring pulse of life that green represents.

Together Protect the Green Home

初二(25)班 李婕瑶

Spring brings everything back to life. The earth is covered with greenery. March is the perfect time to plant trees. Last weekend my parents and I planted a tree in our neighborhood.
First of all, we dug a big enough hole with a shovel. It was not easy because the soil was very hard. Next, we carefully put the sapling into the hole. Then, we filled the hole with soil and watered the root of the sapling. Finally, I hung the wish card on the branch of the sapling with a sense of achievement.
Although I was exhausted after planting the tree, I think it was quite meaningful to do this. On one hand, by planting trees, I can improve my hands - on skills. On the other hand, as teenagers, we are supposed to play an active role in improving the environment.
In recent years, with the development of society, the environmental problems have become increasingly serious. As the saying goes, “Environment and life coexist, environmental protection and health coexist.” Each of us has the responsibility to protect the environment.
Actions speak louder than words. Let's keep the earth away from pollution and let green come into our homes!

Planting Hope

初三(23)班 张洪瑜

As spring is around the corner,we will have the forty seventh tree planting day.It is a special day that dedicated to the importance of trees and the environment.Celebrating it on march twelfth every year in China, people are encouraged to plant trees and take care of the environment.
It’s of great significance to plant and protect trees. They provide oxygen and help with the climate change.Forest is also a perfect shelter for wild animals to leave. In addition, trees also create a relaxing environment which keeps our physical and mental health.
Being aware of the meaning of trees,I participate in a variety of to planting activities.Of course it is a must to plant a few trees in the backyard of my house. Many hands make light work,I also publicize the memories day,in order to promote the people’s sense of responsibility of environmental protecting.Besides ,I will persistently practice a low carbon lifestyle which can help our planet go greener.
In conclusion, tree planting day is not only a symbolic event, but also a call for everyone to spare no effort to contribute to a greener and healthier future for the next generations and all the human beings.Let’s all do our part to protect and build a better world for every residents of the earth, including animals and trees.
It is ourselves who shape our future and the world. We do believe that the vitality on the earth will last forever!

Walk with the green

初三(29)班 邵梓萌

Green, the color of nature and the symbol of life, shares an indissoluble bond with me. Initially, my impression of green was far from favorable; it seemed to carry a depth that was almost overwhelming. Even the green plants appeared bothersome, constantly attracting insects. While many regard green as the color of nature, my eyes were drawn only to the blue of the sky.
This perspective remained unchanged until Arbor Day a few years ago, when my school organized an event to honor the spirit of Lei Feng by planting trees to contribute to the greening of our world. Reluctantly, I planted a pear tree, an act that initially held little significance for me. To my astonishment, the tree began to grow, slowly but surely. As I tended to it, covering the soil with a shovel, I witnessed the sapling stretch its branches and leaves, embracing the beauty of natural life. This process not only allowed me to feel the vitality of life but also filled me with pride for contributing to environmental protection.
Now, green has transformed in my eyes from something once deemed unattractive to a symbol of freshness and vitality. I have come to appreciate the life force it represents, much like the plants that surround us. As the poet Robert Frost once said, "The trees that have it in their pent-up buds to darken nature and be summer woods." This resonates with the idea that each of us, by embodying the spirit of Lei Feng, can thrive like green saplings, providing shade and comfort to others.
In the words of John Muir, "When one tugs at a single thing in nature, he finds it attached to the rest of the world." This interconnectedness is what I felt as I nurtured my pear tree, a small but significant act that linked me to the larger environmental cause. By continuing to embrace the spirit of Lei Feng, we can all contribute to a greener, more vibrant world, ensuring that the beauty and vitality of nature are preserved for generations to come.

My Green Friend

初三(30)班 邹逸涵

Green is not just a color to me. It’s more like a friend who teaches me to love our planet. My story with green started when I planted my first sunflower in our school garden.
Last year, my science teacher gave each of us a seed. I put mine in a small pot, watered it every day, and placed it near the window. Two weeks later, a tiny green shoot appeared! I felt so excited. Slowly, it grew taller and finally bloomed into a bright yellow flower. That little plant made me realize how amazing nature is.
Since then, I’ve tried to do more for the environment. At home, I collect rainwater to water plants. I always turn off the tap while brushing my teeth to save water. My family also started recycling paper and plastic bottles. Last month, my classmates and I cleaned up trash in a nearby park. We picked up candy packets, plastic bottles, and even an old shoe! The park looked much greener and prettier afterward.
Now, I see green everywhere—in trees, grass, and even in people’s actions. My neighbor’s cat used to knock over trash bins, but now they can use a lid. More kids ride bikes to school instead of asking for rides. These small changes make a big difference.
My green friend reminds me every day: protecting the Earth starts with tiny steps. If we all care a little more, our world will be as bright as my sunflower!

Green Innovation: A Vision for Tomorrow

初三(32)班 王舒萱

Climate change is no longer a distant threat but a pressing reality. Rising sea levels, extreme weather, and vanishing species demand urgent action. While governments and organizations lead large-scale initiatives, I believe the future of green development lies in innovation and youth empowerment.

Last year, our school’s science club designed a solar-powered irrigation system for a local farm. Using recycled materials and 3D-printed components, we created a cost-effective solution to reduce water waste. The project not only won a regional tech competition but also inspired neighboring schools to adopt similar models. This experience showed me that technology, when paired with environmental awareness, can drive sustainable progress.

Looking ahead, I envision a world where every community has access to clean energy and zero-waste infrastructure. Policies should incentivize green startups, while schools must integrate eco-literacy into curricula. As a student, I’ve started a blog to share DIY eco-projects, from composting to building mini wind turbines. The Green Journey I Embarked

初一(20)班 刘斯涵

In a world where the rhythm of modern life often drowns out the whispers of nature, I found myself yearning for a deeper connection with the environment. My most memorable encounter came during a volunteer trip to a local wetland reserve.
As I stepped onto the soft, muddy ground, the symphony of nature unfolded around me. The gentle rustling of reeds in the breeze, the melodious calls of waterfowl, and the sight of sunlight dancing on the water's surface were nothing short of magical. We spent our days clearing invasive plants, monitoring wildlife, and educating visitors about the importance of wetland conservation.
One particular moment that etched itself into my memory was when I helped release a rehabilitated turtle back into the water. As it disappeared beneath the surface, I felt a profound sense of fulfillment, knowing that I had played a small part in preserving this precious ecosystem.
This experience made me acutely aware of the environmental challenges we face. Climate change, habitat loss, and pollution are threatening the delicate balance of our planet. But it also gave me hope. It showed me that through collective action and individual responsibility, we can make a difference.
Since then, I've made a conscious effort to live a more sustainable life. I recycle religiously, reduce my energy consumption, and advocate for environmental protection in my community. I believe that every small step counts, and together, we can create a greener future for generations to come.
As we look ahead, I envision a world where technology and nature coexist harmoniously. Where renewable energy sources power our cities, and green spaces are abundant. It's a vision that requires innovation, policy support, and most importantly, the active participation of every individual. Let us all be stewards of the earth, for it is the only home we have.

My Story with Green

初一(22)班 丰子淇

When I was a child, my father, an environmental worker, often told me about his dream: to make the sky bluer, the land greener, and the water clearer. His job was to apply advanced technology to reduce air pollution, and his stories inspired me to care deeply about the environment.
Last summer, I joined a tree-planting activity organized by my school. We planted dozens of young trees in a nearby park. Though it was tiring, I felt proud knowing that these trees would grow and help clean the air. This experience made me realize that even small actions can make a big difference.
I also started paying more attention to environmental issues. For example, I learned that climate change was causing extreme weather, and many animals are losing their homes due to deforestation. To help, I began practicing a green lifestyle. I save water by turning off the tap while brushing my teeth, and I always turn off the lights when leaving a room. I also encourage my family to recycle and reduce waste.
In the future, I hope to see more people join the fight for a greener planet. I believe that with technological innovation, strong policies, and public participation, we can create a sustainable world. As a middle school student, I will continue to do my part, because protecting the environment is not just a dream—it’s a responsibility we all share.
Together, we can make the Earth a better place for everyone!

My stories with green

初一(27)班 王子阳

Green is a symbol of life and hope. I have many stories with green, which are closely related to my growth and my understanding of the environment.
I remember when I was a child, my parents often took me to the park near our house. The park was full of green trees and flowers. I loved playing there, running in the grassy fields and climbing the trees. The greenery around me made me feel relaxed and happy. At that time, I didn’t realize the importance of green to our environment.
As I grew up, I started to learn more about environmental protection in school. I knew that the green environment was not only beautiful but also very important for our survival. The air we breathe, the water we drink, and the food we eat all depend on a healthy environment. However, I also learned that there were many environmental problems in the world, such as air pollution, water
pollution, and deforestation. These problems made me worry about the future of our planet.
To protect the green environment, l have taken some actions. I often remind my family and friends to turn off the lights when they leave the room to save energy. I also try to reduce the use of plastic bags and use reusable bags instead. When I go to school, I always walk or ride a bike, which not only helps me keep healthy but also reduces carbon emissions.
I hope that in the future, our society will pay more attention to green development. We can use more renewable energy, such as solar energy and wind energy, to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels. We can also plant more trees to fight against deforestation and protect our ecosystem. I believe that if everyone takes action to protect the green environment, our planet will become more beautiful and sustainable for our future generations.
